Well the ultimate answer to this question is undoubtedly KISS. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley said it themselves, "Anything that can have KISS on it, should have KISS on it." You see KISS action figures, lunchboxes, movies, condoms, etc. But I think right now it is without a doubt Metallica. The whole Napster thing lost them a lot of fans, changing their sound to go along with the trends, and the final straw was with the recent releases of Guitar Hero III and Rock Band. All bands received a standard reward for allowing their songs to be on the game. Not Metallica, Metallica negotiated to have royalties from every single copy of the games sold.
Fall Out Boy and all those other emo bands.
wow...there are so many out there. Id hav to agree with the first answer FOB. even bands like papa roach r selling out. The biggest sellout band today i think is Good Charlotte. There new album is so different and so much worse than the older ones. What the heck is dance floor anthem? The song is literally the wrost theyv ever put out. Go back to something like the young and hopeless. Its almost like theyr switching to being a pop band if there is such a thing.

The Killers have had two Christmas singles in as many years plus they have just released a whole album of stuff that wasn't good enough for the first and second albums yet it still included album tracks off the first two albums... That's a bit sellout to me...
