When talking about the Nas and Jay Z battle, do you ever equate this into it?!
Question: Not that long ago. I heard the song, "Is That Your Chick" remix again. Jay Z went off on Nas about his relationship with Carmen. Now Jay Z had put that out, Superugly and one of the best diss songs out, which was Takeover to take shots at Nas. Now all Nas had was Ether, which was good and H To The Homo. Ether was made after Jay Z started shooting at him, therefore having the opportunity to sit down and redirect Jay Z lines and shoot them back.
What do you all think about that?

well jay-z having more songs out to diss nas actually works against him, coz nas showed him it was quality over quantity. I thought takeover was ok, but he was a little too forward and that struck me as uncreative.. like he should'a went ahead and just cussed them out. Nas murdered him on ether and after listening to that u didn't really wanna hear anymore about the whole thing, he finished it with one song.
as for ether being made as a reaction to jay-z striking first, that works against jay-z as well... he struck first, that's the repercussions and consequences of his actions. he cant blame nas for redirecting his lines back at him when it was his fault to throw those lines out in the first place.
i really found the whole thing wack though... i couldn't take any of them seriously, it sounded like a lot of whining. i mean beef is really gay, especially when they don't even act like it might not just be on wax just to make it exciting.. it just sounds really insincere
my beef favorite is eminem's "girls". lol at least with that song there was real emotion and u got the feeling that sh** can pop off even though it probably won't...

Nas is better anyway
I love them both, but I think that lyrically, when he's had time to put pen to paper, Nas is a bit better than Jay-Z. But, I reckon Jay-Z has stronger freestyling skills than Nas, so I think in a battle situation, Jay-Z would win.

Aparently you don't even understand the way a battle works. One person makes a song, the other retaliates it and creates their own with the other persons info. Then the other person does the same. That's the way it works. Doesn't make it unfair or anything.
Regardless, Lyrically Nas is definately much better than Jay-Z anyway. Don't get me wrong I like them both, But Jay-Z is not the king of Hip Hop. Oh and to the guy that said Kanye is better than both, and that Young Weezy was the best, Keep smoking that sh1t cuz you are aparently very high!

Jay-z is DEFF. better then nas in my opinion...I mean he is the king of hip hop...BUT I would say kanye west is better then both of them...and to top it off LIL WEEZY is by far the BEST MC in the game
