I believe it's "Say Ireland" by Gilbert O'Sullivan.

Here are the lyrics:

When words fail you don't say why say Ireland say Ireland and I'll tell you why When bombs dismay you don't just cry cry Ireland cry Ireland cry Ireland cry Ireland and I'll tell you why [How much time have you got?] Where are my Irish roots where did I get those boots why do I not like suits and ties and why so shy in front of people It's on top of a steeple that I belong far from the maddening crowd as far as I am allowed far from the maddening crowd as far as I am allowed far from the maddening crowd as far as I am allowed and the crack was in the ceiling Say Ireland...(Ireland)...Say..(Ireland) When words fail you don't say why say Ireland say Ireland

if its an Irish tune, surely the Duliners have interpreted it, whether it is one of theit original songs, I would not know for sure,- but you will find it in google. go for it; or in any of the other download machines, maybe even available online,
in bearshare.com for example, ore any of others, is a bit risky perhaps, but they have not got hte tme to research all of that. it you want legal download, then YouTube would be all right, maybe they have a special temp membership over X-mas

merry X-mas from sydney
gerhard
and I sincerely hope, that Ireland will stop crying!
