After all these years - Stones?!

Question: Well these lads (lol) had me captured in the sixties and yet they are still together and still pleasing their fans. Are there any other with their longevity? - I believe the Beach Boys maybe? who else?

ZZ Top is still around. They are the one American band with the longest lineup of original members. Coming up on 40 years for them being together.

Townsend & Daltrey have been together as long as the Stones have also.

Aerosmith has been around for what 35+ years now? Even Deep Purple is still out there tho not in original form.

Kids today complain about groups like this still being around because they feel these groups use the good concert halls when the groups of today could be using them. What they don't understand is that ZZ is gonna sell out when Joe & The Blows will only fill half the arena up. If you are a concert promoter who are you gonna want to put in concert?

I saw The Stones for the 1st time back in Oct. 81 in the Astrodome when I was 19 & they were around ages 35-38. It was a hell of a show. Last saw them in Oct. '06 in Austin & it was THE best concert by them I have most ever seen! Rock & Roll was certainly NOT dead that night!

Long Live Rock!! Be dead or alive!

Led Zep, Steely Dan...........i suppose the pension for the elderly isnt enough

Many groups from the 60s and a few artists from the 50s

Bob Dylan was around before the Stones and he is still touring and cutting albums.
