Favorite style of blues?!

Question: I don't have a particular favorite, I just like the blues. I particularly like Bo Diddeley, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, And Clapton. Oh, and Robert Johnson!

I grew up with the Chicago Blues.Muddy Waters is the "Father of the Chicago Blues".But in addition to Muddy-the sound that was known as the "west side" absolutely killed. The West Side sound was popularized by Magic Sam and Buddy Guy.it's still a shame that Sam died at such an early age. He'd be as big as Buddy.Find the Cobra records by him-you won't regret it.

I don't have a favorite either. My all-time favorite blues singer is Janis Joplin. Guess you know that already :). I also like Bessie Smith, The Doors, Odetta. I don't care what anyone says. Her music sounds more like blues than folk. Umm...I like Otis Redding, The animals, Bob Dylan...well his harmonica was bluesy...

Yea that's all that comes to mind right now.

Peace!

Man, I am usually torn between Delta and Piedmont styles!

Special ups to Chicago, Texas, and Jump blues!

Chicago Blues, Chess Records.

Clapton first, SRV, Johnny Winter. Never cared much for Janis, even though she's from my home town.

I pretty much like all the styles but probably prefer the Chicago style. This includes Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Willie Dixon, Koko Taylor, James Cotton, Little Walter, Big Walter, Paul Butterfield, Mike Bloomfield, Carey Bell, Otis Rush, etc.
But I also love Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bonnie Raitt, Allman Brothers, Peter Green, and many others.
