Answers: Yeah, he wrote "TALK BACK TREMBLIN LIPS" i'm sure he wrote a lot more but that one i'm familiar with.

Yes great songwriter, he wrote Indian Outlaw by Tim McGraw

For sure, my favs are Angela Jones (1961) and Road Hog (1962)

BA-BA-BA-BAM Proudokie beat us to, it.

John D. Loudermilk is the cousin of Ira and Charlie Louvin. His list of hits include Stonewall Jackson's "Waterloo," Bob Luman's "The Great Snowman" (someone else asked a question about Luman, thought I'd reference him here), George Hamilton IV's "Abilene," Johnny Cash's "Bad News," Kitty Wells' "Amigo's Guitar," "Blue Train (of the Heartbreak Line)," which was a country hit for George Hamilton IV and the 2002 IBMA Bluegrass Song of the Year by Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Marvin Rainwater's "Half Breed," Glen Campbell's "I Wanna Live," and Sue Thompson's hits "Norman," "Paper Tiger," and "James (Hold the Ladder Steady)."

Yes, I remember John D. ... The Country Gentlemen do a couple of his songs.... "The Little Grave"... (can't remember the other one right now)... The Lennon Sisters did "Sad Movies (Make Me Cry)".... The Everly Brothers did "It's My Time"... Roy Acuff did "I Wish It Were Me"... and scores of other performers sang his music.

It was over 50 years ago that John Hamilton IV recorded John's first song.... "A Rose and a Baby Ruth"... I remember that one. Most folks don't know that he also played the fiddle !!!

He's in his late 70s now and still sometimes plays a little. Good music !!!!!

NO

He wrote "Indian Reservation (Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian)" which became a number one rock and roll song for Paul Revere and the Raiders.

No one's mentioned Tobacco Road!

I have an album of his that I just love-There's a song on it called Every Day I Learn A Little More About Love-great, great song.

I can't believe no-one mentioned 'Language of Love' Cross over hit in 62,at least it was in UK.

Yes i love his song Adela Jones but i can't find the CD on which it is here in SA and if i am not mistaken he also sings Toy train
