I'd say, with a neutral approach to Soulja Boy, that his song lyrics are completely horrifying. If you go to www.urbandictionary.com and look up some of the terms he uses, I can see why people would dislike him so much.
Ive never heard anyone who HATES him but i dont think his that great. Just that one song is good to me. I tried listening to his other stuff but eh....more a Daddy Yankee person.
