Now that George Strait has accomplished his goals at becoming #1?!

Question: Do you as a fan feel he still needs to be out doing some 200+ shows a year just to satisfy the crowds. Or would you be happy just knowing he will continue to put out a new cd every year or so and cut back on his touring some?

(I,m not even sure if he is still doing 200+ a year.)

I guess if he really feels the need to tour that much then that would be fine but as you know he does a lot of rodeoing as well and that keeps him traveling quite a lot. It could be that he just likes to travel. One CD per year would be enough

I don't think he "Needs" to tour that much but he has always been a fan oriented artist so I think he will continue because it is what he does Tex; it is in his blood and his fan base is so huge that I think it would be a major upset if he were stop and leave a lot of people rather sad. I think that as long as his shows draw the public and sales, he will be out there. CD's are one part of the business but if it is in your blood; you want to be in front of an audience.

The sad fact is if he wants his "very little" time on country radio, he's gotta tour.
I'm just glad he has been there for the last 25 years, or country music would be in worse shape than it is today,
yeah, we would have had Jackson (and sometimes Tritt)
but what made hs longevity was his knack to find and sing actual country music
and if he still wants to please his fans, I say, GIVE IT TO 'EM STRAIT!!!!!

Well, if he wants to make his fans happy by allowing us to go see his shows by touring that much is fine with me, I think he just wants everyone to be able to see him while they can, because unfortunately he won't be around forever. I can't wait to see one of his shows.

nah, he can do as many shows as he wants as long as he puts a cd out every year or so. we are seeing him in concert in Austin at the beginning of the new year and that will be enough to tide me over; i also had my husband buy me the dvd from the last Astrodome concert he did. I figured that will give me a fix every now and again.

I'm just happy knowin' he still puts out music. Whether he does any number of concerts a year or just on CD a year it don't matter, atleast we know he's in it and not just there for the money.
Love that man and hope to see him in concert b4 he stops for whatever reason.
