a lot of people smoke weed, its just more glorified or mentioned in rap music since they just basically sat it straight. theres a lot of alternative and rock music that involves weed and drugs in general but usually they use metaphors or symbolisms, they're not as crass in the lyrics
if there's a genre that would signify marijuana the most id say reggae, with marley and rastafarianism and all that.
