I have the blues ... who else?!

Question: Okay, here is the situation.

A while a go I noticed a user on Y!A had consistently 8 thumbs up on all of his answers, and 9 thumbs down appearing on all other answers. He has a "best answer" percentage rating in the mid 70% range - WAY out of the normal distribution.

So, I outted that person and since then ...

ALL OF MY answers have been getting 9 thumbs up and 9 thumbs down on all of the other answer. There have been accusations that I was 'cheating' etc.

Fortunaltly, my public back log of answers (both good and bad) show a normal distribution, so my reputation is safe. I AM sorry about any curretn open questions that are suffering because of these tactics

This gives me the blues! What gives you the blues?

I know its you Mace, on that blues-rock question you had 11 thumbd up and everyone else had 11 thumbs down! ; )

The same thing happened in the country forum awhile back. We all kept reporting the culprit, who posted under two different names, and answered under two names as well. A regular contributor is involved in some monkey business there now.

I know its disheartening, but shrug it off the best you can. If we lived near each other, I'd take you out for a couple cocktails to help you forget ;) (you too Corrosion!).

I'm, here for two reasons-first, to preach the gospel of American music, which is my passion. Second, to discuss the same with fellow enthusisasts. If I can do both on a regular basis, its worth putting up with the trolls and the b.s.

Hey, I noticed that pattern, too. Knew something was wrong.

I'm not normally a "blue" person, but I can have the blues about certain things, like ... my work e-mail address has disappeared from the ISP's server and they can't figure out why or how to fix it (2 days), AND my computer at work won't boot and I can't get the computer repair guy to return a call (3 days).

That would give me the blues! I hate when people give me thumbs down, especially if my asnwers were well thought out, and actually good. :( It makes my asnwers look bad. That'd give me that blues, i'll tell ya!

Sometimes when I put newly boughten clothes on, I spill soda or something right on them. I get so mad! I am a clutz, though. XD

Happy holidays.

Me too, Brother Conch.

I always try to answer honestly and politely here since I was under the assumption that we're here because we love the blues. I did get angry over that self-serving question about a Musician's Only category. I know you and Martin are musicians, too, but don't go waving it around like a gun hoping for a ransom of respect.

Sigh. Humans.
