Question: Kiss An Angel Good Morning, Is Anybody Going to San Antone, Missin' You, Crystal Chandelier, Burgers and Fries....the list goes on and on....I don't think Charley did anything I didn't like.

edit: I forgot to answer the second part of that!!! It does bring back memories...riding around in the car with my grandparents when I was younger...My grandmother LOVED Kiss An Angel Good Morning....she passed away 5 years ago...that song reminds me of her....

Charlie Pride...WOW the memories....You've got to kiss and angel good mornin and love her like the devil when you get back home.

It's soooooo hard to choose just one but here goes..
"SHE'S JUST AN OLD LOVE TURNED MEMORY"..
it brings back great-sweet memories cause this is one of the first records that i owned by him and i played the daylights out of it!

Kiss an Angel Good Morning. One of the first country songs I ever liked

"I'm Just Me", because I was "country, when country was'nt cool!!!!

I love all his songs! I guess my favorite is, just between you and me, and ,someone loves you, honey.

Too many to list! BUT I do have a special affection for "Mississippi Cotton-Pickin' Delta Town"

DOES MY RING HURT YOUR FINGER.....WHEN YOU GO OUT AT NIGHT.
NO SPECIAL MEMORIES HERE!!

"Roll On Mississippi". I never lived along the Mississippi as a child. Growing up however, was often chaotic at best. "Roll On Mississippi" was a reminder that not all places were bad.
I agree that Charley Pride made only quality albums.

Even though it was not his song, Charley Pride did a awesome version of "Kaw-Liga.

"Does My Ring Hurt Your Finger" because of a past relationship.

The song "Chain of Love" (from Charley Pride's CD "Comfort of Her Wings") reflects the attitude I try to have when I am helping others. It was also done by Clay Walker (The CD was called "Live, Laugh, Love)

I can't name a favorite Charley Pride song, so I won't even try. There are two that have stories behind them for me.

One, I had a good friend in school named Ed. I met him in the third grade, (1978,) and knew him all through high school. When we got that far along in school, I'd notice that when Ed was down or stressed, he'd be whistling Roll On Mississippi. The song seemed to sooth him or take him to a better place. If he was whistling Roll On Mississippi, you'd know he was going through something. I can't hear that song today without thinking of Ed.

The other one that has some significance for me is Wonder Could I Live There Anymore. The reason for that is because the little New Mexico town I grew up in was a different town back then. Through the '90s and into the double-oughts, it has become the methamphetamine capital of the world. It has really gone to hell in a handbasket. We finally got my sister out of there, and my parents have moved and sold off everything, so we don't have any ties to the place anymore.

I could go on all night, though, about Charley Pride's music. I'm one of his biggest fans.

Burgers and Fries and cherry pies it was simple and good back then.
I also favore Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'

no special memory. they just make me think of how simple things must of been, and that you got to have somebody to share your life with.

Mine is possibly "One of these days"
Having retired,it suits exactly my feelings
Wifes favourite song by anyone is "Crystal Chandeliers"

"Burgers and fries.........."
First date with the girl that became my wife.

The Snakes Come Out At Night...due to my party days

All I Have to Offer You is Me, no special memories involved, it's just an awesome song. My second favorite is Roll on Mississippi, I love the melody.

"is anybody going to san antone"...because i was in phoenix, once, and "apt. # 9"..because i once lived in an apt.

I love all of Charlie Pride's songs. We even had a horse named after him! My husband and I had as "our song" (not sure if this is the title) All I Have to Offer You is Me. Boy was that ever true too, because we were newlyweds back in the mid seventies and broker than broke. We've come a long way since then, but I still love Charlie and love my hubby even more than the day we married. Thanks for a blast from the past!
