Guitar strings for a Stratocaster?!

Question: Just need advice on the best strings for my guitar.

Answers: Just need advice on the best strings for my guitar.

Most folks use 9 guage strings. If you want a fuller sound and don't mind doing so at the expense of easy bending, get a heavier set such as 10's or 11's.

The lighter guages such as 9's do tend to break more often, but the heavier guages are a bit tougher on the structural intergirty of your neck.

I've tried several guages and I am happiest with 9 guages since I bend a lot. It's easier and more expressive.

I have two stratocasters (strats). Both are cherry sunburst. I love strats. My favorite is my Les Paul Standard cherry sunburst.

Edit: PS. I prefer Dean Markley Blue Steel strings, but several other brands will do fine. Just don't get the cheapest strings.

I personally like GHS 009 gauge strings

depends on your style and what you find comfy really. Try a set of 10's maybe. Ernie ball strings are fine and fairly cheap. Just ask at a guitar shop.

Use heavier strings if you are playing a lot of chords, because you will probably have a 'heaver' strumming attack, possibly a lighter gauge for lead, as you will be picking out individual strings.
I use D'Addario strings.

Personal choice, I use D'addario 10s on mine, mainly because I can never be @rsed resetting the trem for anything else!
I did settle on them after trying Rotosound and Ernie Ball, and Elixir, which my mate swears by, but he's a sweaty b@st@rd!
Good luck!
