Was Grateful Dead hipster music or just pretend?!

Question: I mean did they inhale, how many tabs of acid did they partake in? Were they just the boring old Elvis military farts from yesteryear?

Sounds like you have no idea what Grateful Dead or "deadheads" were all about, dude.

GD started jamming in random locations (ex. barns, parks, etc), to various audiences. Their music, though influenced in part by drugs, was usually folk music with a positive spin/message.

Hippies connected to this type of music & GD's concerts turned into long, commune spirited & drug induced events.
Songs could go on for 40 minutes without anyone complaining. Everyone was caught up in the atmosphere & music. People who were previously strangers, were the best of friends & gladly sharing what they had.

It is too bad everyone can't experience a little of this. It was a great time to be alive & the music reflected it.

I'd bet the house they inhaled and who knows how many tabs of acid they took......or gifted to the audiences ( which they were renowned for doing).....definitely hipster all the way!
