I'm not sure if you have anything specific in mind but some really good punk bands are The Briggs, Street Dogs, Angel City Outcasts, Rancid, Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards, The Business, Bouncing Souls, Swingin' Utters, Social Distortion, The Clash. I also like Muse, the Killers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, too many others to name.
