I wasn't born when there music was popular but my grandma loved listening to them on Saturday when she did laundry....she even put her little radio in the kitchen window so she could sing to them from picking veggies in the garden. We would sing "BUMMIN AROUND" and "GIVE ME 40 ACRES" all the time. Every now and again I hear it on country oldies and I smile. Great Question....and Happy Holidays
