Classic Country Question-who sang the old classic Uh-Oh trouble's back in to!


Question: DAN IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY WITH THIS ONE...Be Careful if you're looking to buy this song..there were TWO VERSIONS RELEASED..I made the mistake of buying the wrong one..when i was visiting porter wagoner about 6 years ago, he had a doc's appointment so he dropped me off at ernies record shop..i was like a kid in a candy store...i could have stayed in there all night..anyways i bought that song-record and could not wait to get back home to play it..porter did'nt have a record player so i had to wait to get back to detroit..i was SHOCKED to hear the DIFFERENCE..you know the part where the ladies say.."UH-OH/UH-OH? well it was not in it...when i came back to nashville the following week-end, i went back to the store to let them know what the problem was..do you know that they would'nt take it back because they said that i could have RECORDED IT AND TRYING TO RETURN IT..well i went out to the car and told-got PORTER...AND WELL YOU CAN GUESS HOW THIS STORY ENDS!...oh yeah, we did find the right copy some where's else.

The Wilburn Brothers, a bunch who had a lot to do with Loretta Lynn's success. The song can be found on Decca's 3-CD country box, so it's probably on iTunes as well.

EDIT: Yeah, you've really gotta be careful when buying these oldies. Nothing grates on me like a re-recorded version by the original artist. Make sure it says DECCA and not MCA somewhere on it, and make sure it doesn't say NEW RECORDING or something. That box set has the original of this song for sure, and it may be the only thing the Wilburn Bros. have on CD.
