It's more of people classifying multiple styles of dance as going along with hip-hop music....
popping, locking, breaking, liquid, hip-hop (including the very bad jazz-hip-hop combo), krumping etc...
The list is always growing cuz hip-hop is a culture.

NO ONE does the harlem shake any mmore....but krumping , walk it out , two step, hyphy , aunt jackie, pop lock it drop it, grinding, sponge bob. poping, breakdancing usualy dances become famous after they are put into a song, so keep your ears open and check out youtube.
