he makes the beats they spit on.. and the "we da best" is his trademark like jadakisses ahha, or Juelz's chea dipset.. every rapper/dj has there trademark on everysong they make
cuz every track of his has some hard beats (that he creates. thats what he does, he creates beats) and some great rappers. so even though the songs by him don't actually have him on it, he is the person that brought all the rappers together and made the beats. thats why i like we takin over so much is because it has some of the best music( the actual music, not the lyrics) i've ever heard plus some great verses. lil waynes lines are amazing on that song.

I guess all that matters is that he knows the right people (and got that bread) to get them to do an album, and let him slap his name on it. In my opinion, its brilliant!
