I recall them as two comedians who were a part of the Grand Ole Opry for many years.
I have heard their names many times--from my daddy. He loved them. But my memory of them is very hazy.
I do believe there were 3 Lonzos--over time.
A lot of people don't know that Lonzo & Oscar were a BROTHER team -- Johnny and Rollin Sullivan. Oscar told me they did the first "#2" record (also known as "parody" songs, think Homer & Jethro or Weird Al) and were one of the first country acts to ever appear on television (in 1939!!). Johnny "Lonzo" Sullivan died in a tractor accident in 1967 and was replaced by Dave Hooten. Their best-known recordings are "I'm My Own Grandpa" and "Country Music Time," the latter a wonderful tribute to the Grand Ole Opry.
