Question: When i grow up, I want to be a composer, and i love the sound of the french horn, I was wondering if anyone has heard of any decent French horn pieces, that may be able to be downloaded easily. Thanks

Lowell Shaw - Fripperies
Benjamin Britten - Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings
Bernard Heiden - Sonata for Horn and Piano (& the quartet for horns)
Paul Hindemith - Sonata for Horn and Piano
Francis Poulenc - Elegie
Richard Strauss - Concertos 1 & 2 for Horn
And there's always the classical horn pieces, like Mozart's 4 horn concertos and the Beethoven sonata. That should be enough standard rep to get you started!
Mozart wrote 4 horn concertos, all of which are lovely.
