Would you buy this guitar?!

Question: I found this guitar on a website, and I realized it is just like my guitar, with a different color scheme. Just to know how good my only guitar really is, would you buy it?

Also, I am planning on getting one of these two guitars. What do you think of them? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/I...

What are you looking for in this Guitar? If it is sound and feel when you play it you should really test the guitar out first. How long have you been playing a year or two or have your been playing longer? Are you really ready or have a need for another string?

Now if you are going for an "investment" Guitar, you need to look at the country of origin. If it's An American or British made Guitar they are going to go up in value more then a Mexican or Chinese made Guitar.

Ibanez is a good guitar for beginners. Their low end Guitars are a really great value. But, honestly, BC Rich guitars are of lower quality and the fact it has a scaled down size would make me nervous to purchase it with out playing it. BC Rich Guitars seem to be more about the look then the sound. My 2000 Fender American Series Has a Much better Sound then A high end BC Rich made in the Mid 80's which isn't good because the Aging of the Guitar should have improved it by now. The other BC Rich Guitars Fell apart and the Guy at the Guitar center laughed at me when I tried to sell it because BC Rich's have a low resale value. And it says it's 10% smaller, Many scaled down Guitars feel funny when played. The Ibanez would be a Good Choice. My friends had Ibanez Guitars that were cheap that sounded like they payed 2x the amount. I also would read the Reviews. For lower end go with Ibanez. Don't go with Squire from Fender because they are aweful. Fender's are good when you don't buy a Squire series. The 7 string is nice but I think you'd be better off getting a nice 6 string. It sounds cool and all. If you haven't been playing for a good long time and have planned how the extra string can add to your sound don't bother.

The link above is their guide to picking your guitar. Maybe that will help.

I personally like single coils better then humbuckers but that is a personal preference. But playing the guitars is the only way to figure that out. Musician's Friend usually had great prices though and I'd recommend after playing some if they aren't cheaper at the store to order with them. Find your personal preference. We can't tell you what sound/style is right for you.

And if this is a second Guitar for you, you may want to save up a bit more and get a real good one if you are making a commitment to the music. My first Guitar I got from a friend for 100 bucks with an amp. My second was An American Series Telecaster for almost a grand. But the sound and feel I get out of it is amazing. The Guitar you have now? Good starter. The other two, I would personally not recommend.

It's worth Saving up for the RIGHT guitar!!!

Good Luck

I wouldn't but then again I have no mucical talent at all I think I am musically declined!.

I play a mean stereo though!.

I would buy it... but not for myself :]

out of the bottom two i would so buy the last one. I had a guitar like that but it was black and white. I loved that guitar and its so much better to balance. But its all up to you.

Your current guitar sucks, but it's probably your first one, so that's okay. We all started with crappy guitars like that. I really like the first one you're thinking about buying. That second will get old really quick and the quality of build isn't as good. Easy decision.

You can't judge a guitar by its looks. You have to play it, feel the action beneath your fingers, listen to the sound it makes. I don't know how anyone can buy a guitar from a website unless he's played one just like it and liked it (but even then there might be a big difference between two guitars of the same model).

I hear Ibanez is a good brand, though.

I'd buy yours. I wouldn't bother with the 7-string because my name isn't Steve Vai and the other one has only one humbucker. 3 and I might warm to it.

I think your guitar is kewl, Ibenez is a good reliable guitar. As far as the one you want to get new, I'm having a hard time with it. I love the first one, the flat black, but then again BC Rich puts out an awesome guitar. The Ibenez look the same, which is okay but people will notice if you change guitars if you have the BC Rich. It's kewl looking and it really comes down to the sound you want also. I was in a band for 3 years and managed a couple bands, so I know my guitars.......I'd probably do the BC Rich, that's a great quality guitar also.......Good Luck....

Ibanez makes good guitars. I find that they make better basses. I would recommend looking at Fenders as well. Fender stratocastors and telecastors have become quite popular. My favorite is the Gibson Les Paul, but those run quite pricey. As for the B.C. Rich Avenge Son of Beast, I've never played one, but I hear it is a great guitar. I have played the B.C. Rich Warlock, which is very similar, and they produce amazingly clean sounds. Also consider that the Avenge Son of Beast has a very HARD CORE or METAL kind of look to it, so I would not recommend it if you're not that kind of musician. Also, notice that the Ibanez has a whammy bar which the Avenge SOB does not have. Out of the two, I'd pick the Avenge SOB because it is cheaper and because I've played very similar guitars to it and love it.

So, yeah, I would choose the Avenge SOB, but if your willing to spend that extra thousand, than DEFINATELY GO FOR THE GIBSON LES PAUL STUDIO.
