Best thrash metal album and song?!
Question: For my money it was Beneath The Remains by Sepultura, one of the most unrecognised thrash albums ever. The best song (sorry to be boring here) is the title track from the same album. If you don't have this album and you are a fan of early thrash metal (Metallica, Slayer, Exodus etc) go out and get it.

Best thrash Album - Peace sells by Megadeth
Best thrash song - Bad omen
Why? Because it is a very technical metal song.
You try playing Gar Samuelsons (RIP) complicated hard drum part on those songs. He was a legend back then. Nobody could touch him, because he was a Jazz drummer, playing in a famous thrash metal band at the time. He was like the "Neil Peart" of thrash metal back then. Precision, insane double bass drumming, stick speed, crazy solos, odd time signatures, orignial style & technique all wrapped into one. He is also one of my biggest metal drumming influences too.
Always partial to Angel of Death by Slayer
Album - Flotsam and Jetsam - Doomsday for the Deceiver
Song - Metallica - "Disposable Heroes"
NP: "Say Goodbye to Hollywood" - Billy Joel
Anthrax's 'Fistful of Metal' is an amazing album.
And Sepultura's 'Necromancer' is sweet.
metallica - fight fire with fire
That would be S.O.D. - "speak english or die"
If you haven't heard it - go get it and then check mine as the best answer :)
EDIT - Wow!! 3 thumbs down?? You've either never heard it or do not know true thrash metal....
Also, Metallica has a lot more talent than bands like Slayer or Exodus, would not consider them as thrash...
Slayer- Reign in Blood- 'Raining Blood'
Testament-The New Order-Trial By Fire
Kreator-Pleasure to Kill-Ripping Corpse
Metallica-..And Justice for All-One
Your not boring Me. Matter of fact \nn/ to Ya!
Mine would be
Album: Master Of Puppets
Song: Am I Evil?
Exodus - Tempo of the Damned
for whom the bell tolls,metallica
Album: Reign in Blood, by Slayer
Song: Disciple, also by Slayer
There are alot to chose from so it's so hard,I think Slayer is the best and their best 2 albums I think are "Reign In Blood" and "Seasons In The Abyss" songs would be--Angel Of Death--Hallowed Point--Alter Of Sacrifice--War Ensemble and of course Master Of Puppets and And Justice For All which I think was Metallica's most aggressive album, but the most underrated album is Megadeth's Rust In Peace that is one of the best ever and from start to finish it's a perfect thrash album and Marty Friedman and Nick Menza are just awesome together they ate, drank, and sh*t thrash on that album, sick playing dude you just cant explain it
Metallica's Kill 'Em All has to be the best thrash album. Its just thrash 100%. And its awesome :).
Song - Thats a tough but I think I'll go with Blackened by Metallica.
I'm a Metallica fan if ya couldn't tell... =^D
