Are there songs that you consider really creepy but you still like?!

Question: Is there a masoquist in every person? Just like watching a terror movie or reading a Stephen King book do you have creepy songs in your top list? What do they make you feel?

There's a few songs by Alice Cooper that have that "creep appeal". I Love The Dead, Dead Babies, and Cold Ethyl (which is about Alice's love affair with a corpse). I guess I've always loved these songs because of the humor, and satirical element Alice seems to inject into so much of his material. You don't get much creepier than this:
"One thing
No lie
Ethyl's frigid as an eskimo pie
She's cool in bed
Well she oughta be 'cuz Ethyl's dead!"

- I Love The Dead -
I love the dead before they're cold,
Their blueing flesh for me to hold.
Cadaver eyes upon me see nothing.
I love the dead before they rise,
No farewells, no goodbyes.
I never even knew your now-rotting face.
While friends and lovers mourn your silly grave.
I have other uses for you, Darling.
I love the dead (ba bom bom)
I love the dead (ba bom bom)
I love the dead...and so on!

- Dead Babies -
Little Betty ate a pound of aspirin
She got them from the shelf upon the wall
Betty's mommy wasn't there to save her
She didn't even hear her baby call
(Waaah!)

Dead babies can take care of themselves
Dead babies can't take things off the shelf
Well we didn't want you anyway
Lalala-la, lalala-la, la la la

Daddy is an agrophile in Texas
Mommy's on the bar most every night
Little Betty's sleeping in the graveyard
Living there in burgundy and white

Dead babies can take care of themselves
Dead babies can't take things off the shelf
Well we didn't love you anyway
ma ma ma-ma, ma ma ma-ma, ma ma ma

Goodbye, Little Betty
Goodbye, Little Betty
So long, Little Betty
So long, Little Betty
Betty, so long

Dead babies can take care of themselves
Dead babies can't take things off the shelf
Well we didn't need you anyway
ma ma ma-ma, ma ma ma ma-ma, ma ma ma

Goodbye, Little Betty

(Order in the court! Order in the court room!
Order! Order in the court! Order!...)

- Cold Ethyl -
One thing I miss is Cold Ethyl and her skeleton kiss
We met last night making love under the refrigerator light
Ethyl Ethyl let me squeeze you in my arms
Ethyl Ethyl come and freeze me with your charms

One thing
No lie
Ethyl's frigid as an eskimo pie
She's cool in bed
Well she oughta be 'cuz Ethyl's dead

Ethyl Ethyl let me squeeze you in my arms
Ethyl Ethyl come and freeze me with your charms
Come on Cold Ethyl
Freeze me babe

One thing - it's true
Cold Ethyl I am stuck on you
And everything is my way
Ethyl don't have much to say

Ethyl Ethyl let me squeeze you in my arms
Ethyl Ethyl come and freeze me with your charms
Come here Cold Ethyl
What makes you so cold? Ooh so cold

Cold Ethyl
Cold Cold Ethyl
Cold Ethyl
Cold Cold Ethyl
Cold Ethyl
Cold Cold Ethyl
Cold Ethyl
Cold Cold Ethyl
If I live 'til ninety-seven
You'll still be waiting in refrigerator heaven
'cuz you're cool
You're on ice
Cold Ethyl
You're my paradise

It's Warmer In The Basement by Cobra Starship. It's quite a creepy song if you listen to the lyrics but I love it.

I think Rob Zombie should team up with King and, do these stories

uhhh Id say the song off of Marilyn Mansons video Doppleherz. . . .kinda freaky,,,...but i like it

the amazing sounds of orgy- radiohead

Cold Ethel by Alice Cooper

Mama----Genesis

After seeing Genesis this year, and seeing Phil Collins do the eerie laugh, with nothing but the one spotlight one his face, and Tony Bank's creepy synth line, it made me feel weird. After they finished playing it, Phil apologized to the audience and said the song was "inappropriate", and then toned things down a bit with Ripples.

"Imaginary Lover" - Atlanta Rhythm Section

About "spanking the monkey"...

the song "slide" by the dresden dolls is my favorite song by them, but it's quite creepy.

you just have to listen to it, or even just read the lyrics.

It's not THAT creepy, but one of my favorite songs, "Cardigan Weather" by Meg & Dia, is about a girl who poisons her boyfriend and then sews him into a mattress after she finds out that he's been cheating on her, and then she has sexual relations with other guys on top of that mattress.

yea tottally...

hand of blood by bullet for my valentine
lyrics: There goes my valentine again
Soaked in red for what she said
And now shes gone

Oh my god have i done it again
theres a pulse and its deafening.
I can't help what i hear in my head
it's the switch that i flick when he says

Hand of blood, i don't wanna feel, my heart is breaking
Hand of blood, i don't wanna see, my life is burning

I saw you look away
Is what you've seen too much to take
Or are you blind and seeing nothing , I saw you run
I saw you run away
is what i've done too much to take or are you scared of being nothing

There's a stain on my hand and it's red
oh my god am i losing it
I can't help what i've done or i said
It's the buttons i push when he says

Hand of blood, i don't wanna feel, my heart is breaking
Hand of blood, i don't wanna see, my life is burning

I saw you look away
Is what you've seen too much to take,
Or are you blind and seeing nothing, I saw you run
I saw you run away,
Is what i've done too much to take or are you scared of being nothing

I saw you look away
Is what you've seen too much to take, or are you blind and seeing nothing?
I saw you run
I saw you run away,
Is what i've done too much to take or are you scared of being nothing

oh man i've got two, the bad touch by bloodhound gang and the distance by cake

agony and ecstacy-savatage is extremely strange.

:)

"Run for your Life" by the Beatles

Not really creepy to me but it's a good song.

or stuff by Rob Zombie and Powerman 5000

You're right about The Chaffuer, I love that song.
How about
However
"I Cheat The Hangman" by The Doobie Brothers
Takes the prize for me, it is by far the most haunting song I ever heard.

Gonna Get Close To You by Queensryche (song is about a stalker)....On Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare there's 3 songs together (Years Ago/Steven/The Awakening) that have an eerie element to them,as are Alice's songs The Ballad of Dwight Fry and Black Juju....Rob Zombie's songs House of 1000 Corpses,Return of the Phantom Stranger,The Beginning of the End ,are a bit creepy.

Hurt by Nine Inch Nails - well it's not exactly "really creepy" although the music is kind of soft and eerie at the beginning and it talks about self harm etc etc. I can actually relate to it at times >< but at the end of the day it's the music that counts, and it's a great tune.
