When they overdubbed the song and put them together I think that was about as cool as it could get. That's one advancement in technology I am glad they did. The duet is awesome. If you didn't know better one would think they were together in the studio it is such a good job.

Actually I've only heard the Jim Reeves version...I love Patsy so I'm sure the other two are great too!
You know, I was twelve years old when that duet came out, I believe in 1981, and I didn't know until I was about 15 that Jim and Patsy had never been in a studio together. I still like that recording. I've heard them separately since then, and something was lacking. I guess it had to do with what I knew as the song, which was the duet, but I still think it's great.
I loeve Ms. Cline,Patsy,but I loved the one that Mr. Reeves,done.
