Led Zeppelin, to me (yeah i know im gonna get a lotta flack for this), sound the same as any other rock band to come out of that era. theyre whole first album they ripped off from other artists including the ever popular stairway to heaven. i like them and all, when they actually wrote their own material, but they dont sound any different than any other rock band from the 70s. bring on the negative comments-my opinions are my own.
all i know is ive seen them in concert and it was good but they are getting old
Their songwriting is suspect. Some songs are suspiciously similar to other older blues songs. However, it is their performance that set's them apart. The band is amazing at making noise with their instruments with Robert Plants pied piper voice.

led zepplin is one of the most amazing bands of all time they could wipe out any other nowaday bands.with jimmy page's guitar solo's they are untouchable!
At their peak in the seventies they were the best rock band on the planet.
the zep are so freaking amazing. and they did do things very different then all other hard rock bands from that era. first they were very based in the blues, and you can hear it, its not like other bands that say "were really blues influenced" but they sound just like an arena rock band. second they can switch from heavy electric riffing to acoustic picking and strumming, they can go from electric to acoustic better than anyone, ever. finally their songs span a huge diverse range of sounds, so even if some one doesn't like every led zeppelin song they will probably like a few.
Led Zeppelin is the Greatest band ever to walk the face of this earth.
