What guitar chords do I need to know in order to join a church worship band?!

Church Music is normally in the Key of C,G, or F (other keys are not excluded just less common.) The chourds: C,G,F,Am,D,Bb,E, and Em will be the most likely.

D and A susp. are pretty much a must. Learn all the bar or power chords you can those come in handy frequently
I think you are fine - look at the keys used in the songs and learn the chords that work in those musical keys. Buy a book of illustrated guitar cords arranged by key to help. But you can play a few things - things in the key of C (no sharps or flats) - already. Many songs are written in C for choirs, so look at their music book and tune your guitar to middle C so you are in tunr with them.
