How do I find out the exact year and model of my guitar with only the Serial ?!

Question: I already know its a Gibson ES-5 that was only made in the 1950's or early 60's. I've been gearing up to sell it and I would like as much authentication as I can on the guitar. I would like to see if there is a website that has A list of the models and serial numbers.

Google it, look at your guitar closely, usually there are differences between early years and later years. The changes are very small so be sure to inspect it well. Hope that helps :)

take it into the music store im sure they can help u

Google it :)

Just do a search for the Gibson website. Try typing in the model and serial number in a google search and see what you come up with.
Most instrument websites have a search for serial numbers.

Take it to the place you bought it they'll tell you.

Google's pretty good these days..

Try googling the serial number with Gibson & the year..

If not, you'll have to take it to a guitar store...

Usually the best place to get the information you are looking for is the source. Therefore try this link.
