I really don't like rap and all that, but I don't go parading around about how much it sucks and everything. I do like hardcore, and people are scared of it and think its devil worshiping music. Then I simply tell them that a lot of what I listen to is christian. My favorite vocalists for the genre would probably have to be Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada. I can relate to his lyrics and I can understand him vocally.

Well, that's their opinion. It's mine, too. It's actually okay when I can understand what they're saying, but when I can't it sorta freaks me out.
I'm just not used to it and it doesn't fit well with me. But I have a couple friends who like teh screaming songs, too.

Screaming isn't scary. It takes a whole lot more to scream that it does to sing!
I like neither the screaming nor the rap/hip hop sound.. Listen to some real music, such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Cure.. now these are musical geniuses..
And no i didn't grow up in the 70's. I'm 17
Yeh my friends think screaming sort of music is scary. I wouldnt listen to rap or anyhthing like that but each to their own i guess.
