Alice In Chains. I loved the first Pearl Jam album but everything else they ever did sucked. All the other Seattle grunge was crap to me.

TOOL blows them all away by far!!! they didnt follow any trend (not grunge, not rock-rap or punk-pop) just in a class by themselves with every CD they put out in the 90's being start to finish with great songs........ second place would go to the pumpkins though--very underrated, they blow away nirvana and soundgarden and all that crap--hell they even beat pearl jam!!! pumpkins have a knack to go from heavy sounding (songs like "bodies") to softer songs that still rock ("today", "stumbleine" and my favorite "hummer") So there you go Tool and the pumkins for the 2 best out of the nineties...
