Will Hole stand the test of time more than Nirvana?!

It sounds like heresy because it is. You listen to Pretty on the Inside and then compare it to the leaps and bounds on Live Through This in the songwriting. Who do you think influenced that, Eric Erlandson? Then what happened after Kurt died? She did the only thing she could do to stay in the limelight...she sold out. Nirvana is our generation's Led Zeppelin or the Doors, and will always maintain some facsimile of popularity.
Disagree. Hole will always be a footnote next to Nirvana. I like a couple of their songs, but Love's public antics will be remembered more than the music.

hmmmm...... I have never really listened to that genre a lot- just when I hear a song that I like--- I don't think I've ever heard of Hole and I have totally heard of Nirvana SO I think overall Nirvana will stand the test of time because people like me have heard of them along with people like you- but it is just people who listen to what you listen to who have heard Hole.
That is just my take- maybe you prefer Hole- but I haven't ever heard of them.

I seriously doubt that Hole will ever be regarded as significant, or as influential, or as historically important, as Nirvana.
And I hate to say it, but if you removed their famous connection to Nirvana (and the highly-publicised life and mishaps of Courtney Love), would Hole even have garnered much attention on their own merits, over and above the dozens of bands who sounded / sound like them?
No way they will always be in Nirvana's shadow.
No you just don't like Grunge as much as you like Rock. What next you'll ask if the Foo Fighters are better?
