Question: Why is it credited as Timbaland ft. One Republic? Where in the song does Timbaland sing or rap. I understand he produced it and made the beat but why the main credit?

but i recently found out its actually

so yeah
apparently theres a difference
i guess its like he's presenting them to the world
cuz it's their first video/single... right?
because hes well known the others are new comers.
he just has to make sure he gets credit

he paid for the music and wants to take the credit for it now.
That really upset me. I think it is because Timbaland wanted to take all the credit. I think he's greedy and selfish. I mean, honestly, we can tell it's his beat (his beat's have a distinct sound) so he should just let the group shine. They sound awesome, so despite Timbaland being the way he is, they should succeed.
Pretty much he wanted the credit more than One Republic.

because if it just said apoligize by one republic then nobody would know who onr republic is and not as many people would buy it. But if timbaland puts his name there then they'll get more people to but it since timbaland is already well known
he gets the main credit because the whole song is his he just got one republic to sing it. you can hear him in the background hes like going eh eh eh.he wrote the song and hes in it and its his beat.
he was the one who founded onerepublic and he sings in the song he goes and says ehh, that's him everytime
he doesnt even sing it! GOD! he needs credit somehow.

It is because he produced the song, and have it in his album... However, he invited One Republic to be the lead singer in the song because One Rep. probably wanted to have publicity, but cannot afford to pay for it, hence they go through this way.....

It's not because of greed or bias, but this is called business, which benefits both parties...Timbaland takes credit, but One Rep. gets publicity =)
Most places actually have it advertised as "timberland presents one republic" not timberland ft. one republic. I have seen it as featuring... but thats not how its suposed to be advertised
