Quiztime! Anyone know the name of the record label that was created exclusively !
Question: Well 'Motown Records' had a subsidiary label called 'Rare Earth Records' which was set up in 1969, primarily for white rock artists. I've got a feeling this is what you're referring to?
The label featured bands like;
Rare Earth, The Pretty Things, Toe Fat, The Rustix, Xit , Love Sculpture, The Lost Nation, Power of Zeus, and Brass Monkey to name a few!
I even have a rare pressing of the 1st album by the UK hard rock band UFO which was issued on the 'Rare Earth' label for it's American release. 'Rare Earth' is now a very rare, and highly collectible label.
