The original recording 'Revolution 1' is on 'The Beatles', better known as The White Album. This is a slower bluesy version compared to the very heavy 'Revolution' which was the b-side of Hey Jude and was re-recorded as Lennon wanted to release it as an A side. The rest of the band thought the slow version was not commercial enough to be a single. Many people regard Hey Jude/Revolution to be a double A side.

BOTH VERSIONS OF IT. IT'S ON THE WHITE ALBUM.

Both Revolution songs are on the White Album.

I had to check this out, and I am an original Beatles fan....a slow version was on the White Album whereas a faster version was released as a single and apparently was the B side of Hey Jude....it is too far back for me to remember exactly......but still great music

white album

Only the slow version is on the White Album.

The fast version was first released on the B-side of the single "Hey Jude". It has since appeared on various compilation albums, but it does NOT appear on the White Album. There is another track "Revolution #9" which is totally different.

There are 3 versions of Revolution, the rocky one on the b-side of Hey Jude, Revolution No 1 on The Beatles & Revolution no 9 also on The Beatles.
