Hip hop albums pushed back?!
Question: why is it that artists like nas,lupe fiasco and lil jon are always pushing their album back a couple of times i just don't understand that i mean wouldn't that hurt record sales?

There are a number of reason for album push backs and push ups. Sometimes people wait because the album may have a great seasonal hit. If the album is due for winter and there is a great summer banger, they may push it back a couple of months. Competition is also a reason for push backs and push ups. I mean besides Kanye, who else would have stood a chance against 50 Cent with sales. Also bootlegging is a huge contributor of push ups. There are many factors.
they are pushing albums back because they want to drop when there single is climbing the charts...Nas still has "Hustlers" out and that was on his Hip Hop is Dead album, Lupe's single is getting no play and idk what is taking Lil Jon so long Snap Ya Fingaz was out last year
That's what I'm saying. I guess you have label issues (advertising, marketing, content and brining the album out at a time with enough buzz) and then you have the artist issues of them wanting to put out something they would like. Look at Eve, her album was suposed to come out over the summer, her record label pushed her stuff back to 2008. That doesn't make sense to me.
