Yes.

of course

Yes.

What do you think?

Sure, you can separate the music (or any other art) from the person. I personally enjoy some of Michael Jackson's earlier music; I dug Johnny Ramone; I can watch a John Wayne film from time to time; I like some of Mel Gibson's work.

Yes, it is possible. If you look at him purely as a guitarist, you will notice that he's one of the best around. In order to appreciate an artist, you have to learn to separate the person from the work. There are many other performers whose views I don't agree with but I like them as musicians or actors.

yes you can. But unlike the Dixie Chicks he doesn't care if you stop listening to him if you do not agree with his views. If you really like him you can seperate the two. But if you are on the fence it is ok if that is a breaking factor for you.

While I tend to agree with Mr. Nugent's political ideas more than I like his music, for the most part...

What makes artists and actors think they know enough to _have_ political opinions worth sharing? Most are just party animals preaching how we need to love each other while they make millions of dollars and wonder why there's crime...

What kind of person believes their favorite guitarist is qualified to lead them?

Take what everyone and anyone says, think about it, test it, decide if it works for you and form your own opinions.

Ever see the movie "Total Recall"? I love the line "I don't give you enough information to think!" - so be careful who you lend your allegiances to.

DEFINATELY!!

Absolutely! There are a great deal of bands that I don't agree with them politically but I love their music. As long as they don't get too "preachy" in their songs, I'm fine with them having their own ideals. Ted seems like a cool guy no matter what his political views are.

Yes. Sometimes it's an absolute requirement. It's also why I wish most performers would concentrate on what they do best, that being performing. The problem is many use their fame and celebrity as a pulpit to torment us with inane opinions that we weren't looking for. Ted has some ideas that are "out there" for sure. However, most in the industry are usually just as polarizing on the opposite side of the spectrum and their fans seem to have no issue with it. So enjoy Ted for what he is and don't let his insanity bring you down.

Yes you can. I'm not a big fan of Artist using their star power for a political agenda BUT if they truly stand behind an idea then so be it, as long as their music rocks.

I am pretty right wing myself
But certainly it is

I think it is very possible.

ya, the music and the lyrics are two different things
