Question: So Ive been wondering this for a while. I'm watching the Republican debates and everytime Giuliani talks, I can't help but be suspicious. I've heard from quite a few rappers in New York/the East Coast region (including Immortal technique and Exposition, 2 very political rappers) that have said before 9/11,
Giuliani did some terrible things.
What did he do?

the big reason rappers were against him was that he enforced a new policy on crime, where they would arrest you for minor ****, especially if you had a record. he advocated the Rockefeller drug laws which would give 25 to life to clockers that were caught, a lot of ppl felt that it was outrightly against blacks. He would also fund raids into public housing to search for drugs and stuff, but they would do it in project benches and stairways and stuff so they wouldnt go against the 4th.

OH YES!!! I had a feeling that you were younger than me, I just never asked.(I like guessing peoples age on here)..anyway, I think that they just don't like him cuz he's a republican (not like I've got love for the GOP, but) consider that both of them could be considered (or at least pushing) socialist, so their gonna say stuff to degrade republicans..I really can't say what he did that made them angry, but I'm sure it's along the lines of cutting taxes/doing something good for the rich....
I really dont rely on the opinions of rapper when it comes to politics...Immortal Technique is a good rapper...but seems like one of those conspiracy theorist...So sometimes it comes off a bit twisted...You gotta decide for yourself...Take some time and watch CNN...hell even comedy central's Daily show...I see you are watching the debates which is great...but they tend to get too boring for me...
depends on the meaning of terrible..... He shut down all the strip clubs and these type of places that were located in Times Square. He also stood up to the Mob to stop organized crime.
There have also been some issues of infidelity while still married. Also something about spending city money to stay in city hotels with his mistress or something on that level.
Any of these things can be considered "terrible" depending on what side of the laws and ethics that you support
