Wow i was like 5 years old. I come from a respectable little muslim family, we had no hip hop in our house. All we had was a little tv, where occasionally a spice girls song came on. =/

can't remember, too busy work'in

Okay I was 4.
I probably didn't care about Hip-hop very much.
Besides my mom listens to gospel 24/7. And she tries to get me to listen to a lot of it too. So I was probably listening to Yolanda Adams at that time.
And in case you don't know who Yolanda Adams is she is one of the best singers I have ever heard, gospel or anything else.

Ironically, some Wu-Tang.

I Always listened to nas, i remember back in the goin' to my uncles house in Hollis and enjoyin' "it was written"

I also listened to Wu-Tang, but who didnt around that time lol
(preferably Method Man)

I was 21 in 96' listening to All Eyez On Me, It Was Written, Album Number 10 by Too Short, Dwellin' In The Labb by JT The Bigga Figga. Back then I listened to alot of Bay Area underground artist like E-40, San Quinn, Mac Mall, 11/5, and others because that's what my roommate listened to all the time, so I got into those artists too. That was back when I was drinking alot of Hennessey,Seagrams Gin, and Olde English.
