Why do more guys play guitar than girls?!

There are a lot of girls that play guitar. But there are more guys and I really do not know why. Maybe it just started that way and it hasn't changed.
Not so much encouragement from family, music teachers- and the lack of female guitarists to look up to. Smaller fingers/hands create issues? Also- not to stereotype, but I am very into music and I've met many males who are as well but not so many females. The majority of females I know just listen to the radio when they are in the car and never spend money on cds or itunes.
Learning to play the guitar is one of the few effective ways ever devised by humanity to actually attract girls.
This fact is very important to most guys, but notsomuch for most girls, who (a) aren't usually trying to attract other girls and (b) have a wider range of options if they want to attract guys.
Beyond that, I can't think of a single logical reason why fewer girls pick up the guitar - guitars rock!
because guys have longer hands and are better at it....sad I know but hey such is life.....
I don't agree with "Girl in the South". Maybe it might be true that girl hands are smaller or whatever, but there are some girls that have pretty manly hands. Maybe it's just that she's to southern, lol. I'm from the south too but, most girls I know don't "just listen to the radio" and all that. Well anyway, maybe it just started as a guy thing and maybe since it was so far back that a guitar was created, that it was still the time of women had to be women and do women things. Since it was traditional to be that way, it just stayed that way. I know it's not a thing that "has" to be, it's just that people have the more influence of men playing. This is just all my opinion.
