What is the model of the guitar you're using and how do you like it? Any rec!

Question: I would like to pick up the guitar to sing with. Could you help with a moderately nice guitar pick with a good sound for a rookie (with background in piano)?

A Fender Telecaster or Stratocaster, almost every guitar player have one.
You could play with an acoustic.
If you want something heavy, get a Dean guitar.
If you wanna rock, get a Gibson.
But, if you like soft music and blues, get an Epiphone or a Fender.

Just to get started, any inexpensive model (even from Wal-mart) will do. Until you have the basics down (and a lot of other guitar players may disagree with me) of fingering, chords and chord progression and technique, the type of guitar won't matter much. What you put in sound wise is what you will get out. For a more advanced player that wants a certain kind of sound, there is Les Paul or Gibson (my favorite) Once you are an experienced player (or gifted with perfect pitch) you will be able to tell the difference between guitars and their individual tones and tonal quality

Epiphone, I think that it is really good for beginners. I started when I was 8 with an Epiphone.
