Why does Kenny Chesney wear the number 7 Tennessee Volunteer jersey?!
Question: He is a huge Volunteer fan!
I am not sure why Kenny wears the number 7, but I know that he grew up near the school. In the late 90's Kenny even put out a limited edition single entitled "Touchdown Tennessee." This single was a tribute to retired Volunteer's broadcaster, John Ward.
And, although Tennessee is his favorite team, he actually attended Eastern Tennessee State.
