Question: Alright. im trying to learn how to metal scream for my band...and haha...it's not going to well...my friends say i sound like a dying dinosaur x]

Screaming is an art by it self, although many people don't like the harsh metal, Try sing in high pitches first. Then go for anger, element for the screaming. Work from there. Don't try myths like bleaching your mouth and swalloing salt water.
yeah i have a tip for you.........................learn how to sing. you dont have to scream just because you're metal. Dio, the band Dio, they're metal and they have one of the greatest singers of all time, named Ronnie James Dio

Don't try and follow a formula unless you want your band to be unoriginal. Most screams come from emotion or because the singer cant sing, choose one and base your screams around it.
Simple, don't scream. The greatest metal bands never scream. Just sing, put anger into your lyrics and voice, but screaming just means you can't sing well and have to find something to distract people. I hate screamers.... Listen to Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, they never used a screamer. By screamer of course I mean the stupid ilk like killswith engage, fall of troy, and all that remains. The yelling in the Pantera songs is something different, and far far far better.
