hmm idk i like the guitar solos from bat country by avenged sevenfold and i also love slash from velvet revolver! anything he plays is amazing

sweet child o mine by guns and roses, it just blows your mind, shame it's american though

Free Bird, because it's the best thing to look forward to in the song.

...And it's kickassss!

definately not of all time but one that comes to mind is the one at the end of dani calafornia by RHCP. they have awesome guitar solos. they get stuck in your head.

ERIC CLAPTON ~~~ he's been in groups and solo-- been round 4 years~~ PETER FRAMTON~~~ has been round since he was 16- loved music and guitar since the age of 7. he's been doing music and guitar since the 60's. rock of course. u kno what they~~~ a classic NEVER dies!!~~~

david gilmour was the winner of the greatest guitar solo of all time for the solo in comfortably numb....but there are a lot of great solo's..i think its a matter of personal opinion

anything by tom morello

The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps; and even though George Harrison was great, his good buddy Eric Clapton was playing the solo on that song.

The song "Eruption" by Van Halen... but solo wise... "Novemeber Rain" - Guns N Roses.

There is no better guitar solo than "Eruption" by Eddie Van Halen. At that time there was nobody playing the way he was and when people heard that song it was a revelation. That solo brought the guitar player back to life after Hendrix. EVH RULES!

There is no one 'greatest' solo, as different guitarists all have their own style of playing. But a 'best of' list should include :~

Child In Time ~ Deep Purple
While My Guitar Gently Weeps ~ The Beatles {Eric Clapton}
Stairway to Heaven ~ Led Zeppelin
The Minstrel in the Gallery ~ Jethro Tull
Come ~ Fleetwood Mac
Money ~ Pink Floyd
Emerald ~ Thin Lizzy
Cold Sweat ~ Thin Lizzy
Tunnel of Love ~ Dire Straits

np: 'I Guess It Doesn't Matter Anymore' ~ Blackmore's Night

what guitar genre??

blues
jazz
rock
metal

??

i like the one from free bird, it's the only reason i have it on my ipod. the other one isn't famous or anything but i love the solo in "tears don't fall" by bullet for my valentine

i dont think theres just one greatest solo but one the most reconisable ones to me are sweet child o mine and stairway to heaven
