Is there something wrong w/me?!
Question: I'm only 17 and my favorite music is love songs from the 80's and my cousin and brothers we are about the same age and they all like reggaeton and rap and that kind of music but I am so but so different to them I mean I even feel embarrased to go out with them my favorite song is "Total eclipse of the heart" by "Bonnie Tyler" and songs that are similar to the one is the kind of music that I like also like the Bee Gees,Berlin,eagles,and some others from the eighties.

There is a song by Marty Balin....find it and your 80's love song catalogue will be complete. I think its called "Hearts" or something of the sort! The 80's rocked, trust me, I was there!!!
A lot of good songs came from the eighties, I wouldn't be embarassed about it. Perhaps if your friends actually gave some of your songs a chance they would like them. Really, some songs are just timeless and they will survive the decades even though they came out years ago. I wouldn't worry about it, and if your friends don't like your music, then that's their loss.

I don't see why you would be embarassed by that. You just have different tastes than the average 17 year old. It would be like you getting embarassed because you like hamburgers, but everyone else liked pizza. That wouldn't make sense. I like so many different kinds of music, and I don't have any problem admitting it. Stand up for what you believe in. Ok. I'm done now.
I kinda know how you feel liking older music. Most people do but just hide it so dont worry.
not weird. don't hide it though. 17 now but when i was 13 i would not even give my parents music a chance, now i love all music
