Christmas Album?!
Question: A few years ago, I had a CD that had upbeat swing versions of some traditional Christmas songs. It was not a solo album, but featured one particular trumpet player with a Big Band. On the case was a picture of the artist wearing a red coat and hat, standing in the snow playing the trumpet.
I cannot remember the artist's name or the title of the CD so if anyone out there knows, please tell me so I can buy a new one.

But of course you know you will get many suggestions from the people here at Yahoo Answers....so here are my suggestions of my favorites....My best big band CD is Christmas In The Mood vol. 1 and 2 by the Glenn Miller orchestra is very incredible and recently recorded and at a nice price on the Laserlight label Stan Kenton Big Band on Capitol records A Merry Christmas Louis Armstrong and Friends What A Wonderful Christmas great Cd with various bands Louis plays with. Al Hirt on RCA Al Hirt/The Sound Of Christmas Wynton Marsalis on Columbia Crescent City Christmas Card (New Orleans style Christmas) Lou Rawls on Capitol Great vocals with big band by Lou....Christmas Will Be Christmas and last but my favorite and not every track by a big band Jingle Bell Jazz on Columbia with a great version of Jingle Bells by Duke Ellington and his orchestra...Great.So thats my suggestions ,but maybe Doc Severinsen has a Christmas CD like the one you described...Merry Christmas
