I'm looking at a cassette single of Miss You So Much as I type this. It was a pretty good song. But by far my favorite tune was My Kinda Girl - "you're just my kinda girl, c'mon baby let me rock your world..." I had the 12" record of this song but cannot find it :(

Thanks for stirring the memories. So many great R&B musicians in that time period.
I missed out on your Horace Brown question. I got the CD single of Things We Do For Love. Great remixes - Clark Kent and DJ Eddie F. And the rap is by Jay Z. If I'm not mistaken his first appearance on another artist's song.

nope....i'm bout to hit up limewir to check them out.

The Rude Boys is a 1990s vocal group from Cleveland, Ohio.

Band members Larry Marcus, Melvin Sephus, and brothers Edward Lee Banks and Joe Little III were discovered by Levert, who helped get them signed to Atlantic Records. The band's 1990 debut LP, Rude Awakening, included the single "Written All Over Your Face", which made it to #1 R&B and #16 on the pop chart, as well as "Heaven", which was a top ten R&B hit.

The group would score a second number one R&B hit from this album in 1991 with "Are You Lonely for Me." The Rude Boys also toured that year with Levert. The album itself was just one spot below the Billboard R&B top 10 spot, where it sat comfortably at #11 in the spring of 1990.

They followed up their debut album with Rude House in 1992, which included the singles "My Kinda Girl" (an underground new jack hit) & "Go Ahead & Cry." The album barely sold 250,000 units. Their 1997 follow-up album Rude As Ever sold even less[citation needed]). Larry Marcus is a cousin of B.B. King
