Yes you should get echo and it makes the guitar go over and over and over again in kinda of a tempo kind thing its really cool its like a echo, its really cool you should get one for your guitar its so much fun...
Delay / Echo for guitar takes the signal and delays it and/or duplicates it. I would suggest that it is useful, and that you'd want to get it, whether it's for adding ambience and depth to the sound (like simulating a reverb or a room environment) to making new sounds (like The Edge from U2 uses to make new sounds). In my playing, I often find delay useful.
almost gives you a Eddie vanhalen sound. or like a heavy reverb type of sound. don't wast your money. like in the beginning of welcome to the jungle but what do you really need one for unless you r in a studio
