Well, the song basically describes how one deals with the loss of a loved one. In the music video her father teaches her to be a circus performer and then later on in it after a performance she was pulled away by paparazzi and fans when she tried to greet him. Then later she received a slip telling her that her father died...I think it's about how her mother tought her to sing well and then she took it for granted and she later passed on...but in the video it shows her father because she only knew him until she was seven.
