Do you know this website?!

Question: I heard on the radio, that there exists a website, that when e.g. you hum the melody or sing the song, the name of the song you're humming or singing about appears. Is it true? If it is, whats the name of it?

Yes, i love it and it is one of my favorite things ever. Even though it is only in beta it does a great job...
it's called www.Midomi.com

good luck!

idk

woah that would be really cool, sorry i dunno though
i hope you find out!

go to bored.com and go under music and look for songtapper. thats cool.

no thats not true..

I'm not sure, you probrably need a microphone for your PC if it is going to work.

like through a microphone?

no i dont know this website

Sorry mate!..I personally think there is no such website, Its impossible for an internet website to read the hummings of human voice and even if there is something like that, there would be some sort of vocal convertion software and you would definitely have to use a microphone for the input of sound.

don't know, but sounds AWESOME!

Yes there is...Well i dont know about online but if you have verizon wireless theres this software that does it...its called song identity..If you go onto google and typed in song identity you will get it also..i think>>

Hope this helps you!!

Nope sorry never heard or seen that site before but there is a possibility there is a site out there that you can do that.Anyway here is a site
http://www.bored.com/songtapper/index.ht...
where you can tap the beat of the song and they will find it for you.Give it a try =]

it does sound interesting but idk but let me know if you find out

This is not a web site, but a piece of software developed by Fraunhofer Institute in Germany. They can recognize any song from a few bars played or hummed. These are the same researchers who invented MP3 format. See the reference below.
