Great Swedish band. They've been around for quite awhile actually.
Prior to calling themselves Amon Amarth, they were known as 'Scum'. I own a 3 song demo EP that they released back in 1991 that's quite good.

terrible- there is SO much better heavy music than this ponderous,pretentious tripe. Check out Mastodon, Sahg, and Corrosion of Conformity
They aren't that good. I used to like AA but not anymore there is so much more underground heavier metal bands than this.

They are pretty cool.....They kind of remind me of Iron Maiden on steroids.

Great band, melodic, good lyrics, great drumming, guittaring and singing, if people hate this band, they listen to other music that does not fit the genre of melodic death metal
