I'd get all of the major European countries, who really pay for this contest, to back out of the show for one year in protest. Lets see whether the winner this year will be able to stage the show on their own. Its ridiculous. Its no longer a contest to judge the best song. Its just pathetic. I hate the Eurovision type of music entries, however always enjoyed watching it for the fun, and corniness of it all, but now it just verges on the ridiculous

Only one of the true European countries? I think we all don't want to bother, but its a good comedy programme, so should be screened even if the Brits (or Germans) aren't in it.

There is so much talk of tactical voting, but perhaps you would like to consider this: The eastern bloc nations, for instance, have similar cultures and tastes in music and understand and like their neighbours's music better. That goes for the Scandinavians and other blocs of similar history too. And why shouldn't the underdogs have their day for a change?
